Welcome to Hilltop Farm!
We offer mohair from our angora goats and wool from our Bluefaced/Border Leicesters (BFL). The BFL is classified as a longwool breed with a staple length of 3" - 6" and a fiber diameter of 56's - 60's count, or 24-28 microns; creating high quality luster yarns with handle and drape. We enjoy combining colors and fibers to make one-of-a kind yarns. We combine three colors of washed/dyed fiber in a package for you to create your own unique yarn.
I have found hat blocks to be useful to complete and size hand-felted hats. We offer polyurethane hat blocks to make your hat-making easier. These come in various sizes and shapes (See Inventory List).
We also sell interesting things we find along the way.

About the Farm
Hilltop Farm is located on a small acreage in North Central, Idaho, near the Clearwater National Forest. We raise Bluefaced Leicester/Border Leicester sheep, angora goats, and alpaca for their fibers (wool, mohair, alpaca). We share our land with bear, cougar, wolves and coyotes. We have never had any livestock or wildlife killed, thanks to our Great Pyrenees Koya, assisted by Cloud Dancer, the guard llama. All the animals are sheared twice a year, after which the fleeces are skirted, washed, hand dyed and passed on to fiber artists.
